Hi

About 4 days ago I brought sex worker to my hotel room in pattaya. I spent the night with her and after that day someone told me that she got HIV positive as I was conspicuous over the night. We did some activities that made me nervous :

1 - first of all she fed me with her spoon

2 - I put condom during sex, but without lubrication which increased the probability of wreckage of condom (because she was tight and I was big) but I'm not sure if the condom teared or not. But the sex duration was 4 or 5 minute. (no blowjob, no annal, no kissing, just front sex)

3 - before I finish she took off the condom and rubbed it. (maybe with her vaginal fluid)

4 - After I saw that I got suspicious that maybe she has HIV or STD and I stop the sex immediately.

5 - After that I slept beside her over the night but I'm scared if she cut me (during sleep) or do something with me so that I get the virus.

I would be pleased if you tell me if I'm in the risk of HIV or not ?

thank you

Hello and thanks for contacting AIDS Vancouver with your question.

It seems you are concerned about contracting HIV from a protected sex activity. We are glad to provide some information.

Engaging in protected sex is regarded as a Low Risk activity. There have been a few confirmed cases of HIV transmission from this activity. We cannot comment on whether she did anything else to infect you with HIV. Since you have information that she is HIV positive then we recommend that you get an HIV test. In any case at Aids Vancouver we recommend that people use HIV testing as a regular health maintenance routine. This means getting tested once or twice a year. This will put your mind at rest as well as provide a chance for early intervention.

The Aids Vancouver Online forum has postings that are related to your question that you can read for additional information. If you have further questions feel free to contact us again.

Thanks for contacting AIDS Vancouver.
