Greetings,

I'm including a link from a previous post. It sounds like your experiencing something similar.
http://helpline.aidsvancouver.org/question/what-do

Outside of that, I just want to reiterate that if a person transmits HIV, tests will pick that up within a couple of weeks. It does not have the ability to hide within the body and needs to spread rapidly through the blood stream to survive. Clients that we work with here at AIDS Vancouver only needed to test once to determine their positive status.

As for what to do next...It seems you have two options: Pair with a medical professional to get to the bottom of your health concerns-we know it isn't HIV, but what is causing it? Or a second option, pair with a counsellor to work out your fears and concerns-take a read on our website and discover that there are many people just like yourself, who cannot accept a negative result and their lives are now hugely impacted by psychosomatic symptoms, stress and anxiety.

I wish you all the best at moving forward with this. I realize what a struggle it can be when our bodies feel out of control and it feels there are no answers to be had. Please understand that we here at AIDS Vancouver would not send you down the wrong path if we believed you were at any risk from this virus.

All the best and feel free to contact us with any new questions or concerns.

Katie
