i have a yeast infection on my tongue ( i have been having yellow tongue for while even before the prostitute ) and i gave a prostitute oral sex unprotected of course she gave me a blow job and of course normal sex . i am very worried its been 2 weeks and i am getting no sleep at all i also have a headache and itchy rashes that i have to scratch on my hands , elbows , and legs . should i wait 3 months . ps my headache occurs when the side of my head vein is popping both veins to be exact . sorry for the broken english not my first language ~ i am from malaysia

The scenario mentioned above does meet the three components of the transmission equation. Unprotected vaginal or anal sex can provide direct access for HIV to enter the bloodstream. If you are continuously engaging in high-risk activity there are biomedical approaches such as PrEP and PEP that help lower your risk of acquiring HIV. It is important to note that in the past patients were told to wait 3 months for an HIV test, however, with new 4th Generation test the window period is between 16-18 days (Significantly shorter waiting period and may shorten in the future).
